Holy Mary. That was a quickie! The year. I’m talking about 2014. It seriously blasted by and through all the balogna, I have to say, I am just grateful for the fact that I am sitting here blogging about it. If I have to be real, it has not been my favorite year. However, amidst the challenges, some pretty incredible things have happened. For starters, my six year olds are learning to read! It’s CRAZY what kids can do these days. I mean, when I was in kindergarten, I was sitting on my letter square learning how to use safety scissors.
Sadly, we lost our beloved boxer Beatrice, and it truly was the worst ever. It has been a long and quiet six months. Ryan and I decided it was time to bring a pup back into the house so Santa brought us Mildred. She is so friggin cute! I want to rip her face off… she is a love. Might actually be able to go to a dog park with this gal because we couldn’t take B. She was a bad ass mother fucker.
But, I have to say, the greatest thing to happen in 2014 was this blog, The Sister Project. I am pumped to be able to say that a year ago, “this blog thing” was merely a scribble in a brainstorming bubble. The sisters and I are proud of this project. We are passionate and having a ridiculous amount of fun. We can not wait to see what direction this little venture takes us. Somewhere, it is taking us somewhere.
New Year New You
That is the theme of TSP’s blog this month. Every year at this time we all get to reflect and decide what resolutions or goals we are going to set for ourselves. Ultimately, it is our desire to be better versions of us in the coming year. I feel like at the end of the day, that is what it is all about. Nicole, Lauren and myself wanted to share with you our resolutions for 2015. Here is to making some change, for the better. Cheers to an AMAZING NEW YOU!
Ryan and I talked for a moment, right in between wrangling a pup and well, probably William, about goals for us, in this case, our abode. We are actually going to write a list, and check it off, damn it! We are procrastinators and we are over it. Lots to do around here and it’s time to get er done. As far as myself? MORE YOGA! It helps me. I need it. I love it. Professionally, I would like to be able to say when people ask me what I do, “Oh, I blog. I’m a blogger.” New Year, New Me.
2014 fucking sucked. It sucked big ass hairy nuts and I do not like those. I am ecstatic to say Sayonara to that bitch for so many reasons, but unfortunately, along with 2014 and all the bad shit goes my peace and my patience. I want it back times 10. I want to stop and smell the flowers more and I want to learn to laugh instead of cry. I want to learn how to cherish every moment because that cock sucker of 2014 showed me that life is precious and happiness should never be compromised even when it seems impossible to smile. I am surrounded by so many incredible sisters, not just my three real life sisters, but my soul sisters (you know who you are). This resolution will be my bitch because I have a beautiful army of sisters to guide me and support me along the way. I want to laugh my ass off until 2016!!! Ahhhhhhh! I feel like I just showed you all my saggy titties and shit. Moving forward, the resolution I have for my kids and I is something so simple but I find myself being too busy to do this consistently and it’s an injustice to all of us. I am going to cook dinner every night and we will sit down as a family. Lastly, my professional goals for 2015. I want to fucking rock the blog worlds ass! I want to become a respected and renowned Bloggess. Am I reaching for the stars? Yep. And I can’t wait to watch them twinkle in my hands. Bloop.
Happy (almost) New Year TSPeeps! I love taking a moment this time of year to reflect and see how and what I will do to make the next 365 days as awesome as possible. For more of a personal resolution or goal, I am really looking forward to working on my forever project, me. Life presents so many challenges and changes, some are incredibly fun and exciting and others can be the exact opposite. This new year I am going to continue to focus on (and turn up a notch) my yoga and meditation, my health as well as my dreams and adventures so I can be the best version of me for when I need to spend more time focusing on the ones that I love. I know I sound really wise, but I had to pay someone to tell me that, so for you, it’s free and so important to remember you! Speaking of change, this year the Ciancios are ringing in the New Year in a new home and we have a city garden! I am so frigging excited. I plan on growing herbs (just the legal kind) and vegetables to create some healthy meals and of course some cocktails for us, our friends and family. Not sure if I have a green thumb, but we shall find out this year! I must say, I am with my sisters in the professional department. I can not wait for the day when I can finally say, “I’m a yoga teacher AND a full time lifestyle blogger”. Cheers to a new year and making new dreams come true!
What are some of your resolutions for the New Year?
