I think I was always meant to be yoga teacher. I’m like half hippy and half new age, I’ve been into essential oils and lavender since I was 12, I frigging love Enya, plus you guys know you love Enigma’s Return to Innocence…it’s the best! I also loved and am still obsessed with leg warmers. I’m convinced it’s because I never fulfilled my dream of becoming a ballerina. In any case, legwarmers rule and also serve a dual purpose. It’s currently 6 degrees in Chicago and since yoga pants are truly not that warm, a yogi must almost always wear them so their little legs don’t freeze off. Plus, they make a great accessory to any yoga outfit. The best ones are from American Apparel. They’re long enough to cover my knees, but not too bulky so they fit comfortably in my boots. Added bonus, they have tons of colors. At this point, winter in the city is freezing so you better have a couple layers to protect that cute butt of yours too. I opt for long knit sweaters to add some warmth to my booty. Here are a few of my essential winter pieces keeping me warm and toasty this season.
Shop my look:
American Apparel leg warmers in tons of colors!
I worship these boots. They are definitely keeping my feet warm AND dry this winter.
This little beanie totally keeps my noggin toasty and adds the perfect pop of color.
Everyone should own a pair of these fleece lined leggings, perfect for frigid weather.
This thinner style Manduka yoga mat is awesome! Has a good stick to it and holds up well during my heated yoga classes.
So I bought my super long knit sweater at The Rack in Chicago (Lincoln Park), it’s made by RDI. Run, don’t walk and get yourself one. I couldn’t find the exact one online but I found this one, and it is SUPER cute and covers your booty.
What’s your favorite winter accessory or pop of color this season? Stay warm friends and fellow yogis! xo
