There are a ton of cool things I want to point out about this look. Number one. The handbag. She is an Yves Saint Laurent circa 2004. This bitch was not cheap but that is the best part! She is 11 years old, I have carried her to countless occasions, vacations, and outings and she still looks like a spring chicken. My point is, when you spend money on quality pieces and you take good care of them you get more than just a beautiful piece. You get longevity. Next. I wish I would have snapped a pic of me wearing this skirt with a tall boot. Being 5’4, the tall boot with the skirt not only made me look like a hooker it also made me look WAY shorter than I am. It is also a dated look. I opted for an ankle boot because it did 2 things for me. The ankle boot with this short skirt lengthened my legs, which in turn makes me look taller. The boot also adds more shape to my legs which I love! The sweater I am wearing is a necessity staple. Why? Because it is cashmere. Every girl needs a cashmere piece or 5 in her closet. I have a few pieces and they all make me feel as warm and fuzzy on the inside as they do on the outside. Ok. A couple of other things. I want you to use this look as inspiration for your own personal style. Do I expect you all to go crazy over this leather heavy look and start walking your kids to preschool in it? No, dudes. I want you to see the versatility of staple pieces. Ankle boots can and should be worn with short skirts/dresses/shorts not just a killer pair of skinny jeans and leggings. These laced up favorites of mine bring sportiness to a potentially ultra feminine, seductive look. A classically cut cashmere sweater can be worn with jeans, leggings, leather pants, skirts, and shorts. The sky is the limit making this pricey piece worth every frigging penny. Then there is the faux leather skirt. I happen to love leather, which I have said and I am sure you have noticed without me even telling you. It’s not everyones thing. Let’s look at this at a different angle, though. The cut of the skirt. A short flared skirt is flirty and feminine. Everyone has a pencil skirt hanging in their wardrobe but not every girl has a flirty, short, playful skirt and they should! I wear this piece with tanks and blazers, turtle necks, fitted sweaters, nipple tassels, fitted t-shirts and other cool ass shit. I can dress it up or down making this piece versatile and super fucking fun. I wore it once with a jewel toned sequined top and it was hot, hot, hot! And then we have the fishnets. Oh, how my legs and I love fishnets. They are the perfect alternative to bare legs. Btw, I am quite over the heavy, opaque tight look. Be gone look. Please! It is time to free that skin and show a little more of it! How can you do that in the dead of winter without looking like a giant asshole? Fishnets, ladies! I am not entirely comfortable sporting a bare ass leg. And since I am loathing tights as of late, fishnets are my go to hose. They add this necessary element to legs and outfits. They are simply sexy. They make bitches legs look good. Oh, and I wear nude fishnets all of the time too. They are perfect with any look that requires a bare leg when you don’t want to and opt not to bare it all. Like anything it is mucho important to invest in pricey hose. Basically, don’t expect to buy a pair from target and have them last past taking them off after wearing them once. I have had my nude fishnets for 8 years. My damn fishnets outlived my marriage. Now that, my sisters, is considered a good investment. Caring for them is key. Blog to come to help you sluts care for your unmentionables. Enjoy this look!
