I heard this saying for the first time this past weekend and for some reason, it really struck me. Sometimes I find myself rushing from one thing to another, going from point A to point B, without taking a moment to truly let the day set in and take it slowly. Before I know it, the evening has arrived and we’re hanging out on the couch, at times, glued to our iPads. So, while at Target, I did something totally random and bought a 1000 piece puzzle. It totally reminded me of my Grandma Manos because she loved doing jigsaw puzzles. I thought to myself, what better way to slow down life a little by sitting at a table with the tv off and no technology and part take in a tedious, yet beautiful puzzle…with a glass of yummy, red wine of course. I’m pretty confident The Mister Project thinks he may have married an eighty year old, but he seems down for some puzzle time and I couldn’t be more excited. #nerdalert
I think this is a very important reminder to slow down, enjoy life, live it to the fullest and make the effort to spend time with the people you love. I know we’re all busy, but before we know it, we really are going to be little geezers doing puzzles. Time does fly and we are only given one cool ass life to live. Perhaps change something from your regular routine, meditate, call that friend or aunt you’ve been meaning to call or go for a walk around the neighborhood and take in the changing colors of fall. You owe it to yourself to enjoy your days on this beautiful and crazy planet.
Happy Monday TSPeeps!
