I am doing something I have not really done before on TSP. This is my first fashion post and I am secretly, really excited about it. I was in my bedroom putting laundry away, that is actually code for jamming apparel into my closet, and as I did that, I realized, I have an abundance of plaid. Not too much. You can never have too much plaid. LOL. It is just that I hadn’t even realized, I am in fact a plaid-aholic.
The way I see it, plaid is rad and everyone should have a little bit of it in their lives. It is incredibly versatile, practical, fashionable, timeless and it looks good anywhere. Well, almost anywhere. You will see what I mean in a second. And, if I had my way, it would be on my body, around my neck, over my lap, adorned on a hunky Scot, on my bed, the plaid, not the Scot, and across my table at any given moment. I am in fact, MAD ABOUT PLAID and today I am sharing a ton of inspiration I happen to love and think you will too.
Exhibit A, and why plaid looks good with any pattern and proof plaid can be worn, if done properly, with just about anything. I love the polka dot combo and the blue pop of color. I am sucker for the ole’ color pop. I bought an orange couch for crying out loud.
Love plaid and leopard. A super fun and sassy combination.
Plaid is timeless, they were rocking it in Scotland, way back when.
Take this guy, Jamie Fraser, main character and total babe in the hit series, The Outlander. You should know, I’m a sucker for period pieces in general, but you put a hot ginger in a tartan with only my imagination to decide what exactly is going on underneath that ditty, why, you had me at plaid.
I mean, come on! You can not deny all the gorg patterns and colors… and you know its warm, better be, it is colder than shit up on those mountains.
And I want to personally thank Claire for giving me yet another way to wear my blanket scarf. Give it up for the 1700’s! I said this stuff was timeless, didn’t I?!
This girl totally stole her look from Claire!
While we are on the blanket scarf topic, let’s bring it back to 2015.
I’m pretty sure the only blanket scarf you should be wearing should be in plaid. I have a similar scarf from my favorite stores ever, Vintage Charm. I love it for how cute it looks with everything and when I am freezing in my office, I open the ole girl up and wrap myself like I would in my kiki (aka baby blanket).
And this portion is dedicated to my edgy sis, Nicole. Look! Plaid looks stellar paired with leather!
And if the Kardashians are doing it, it must be cool. #GagMeWithASpoon
Moving on to the home portion. Plaid once again proves its versatility by beautifully lying across any table. Table scapes adorned in plaid make my heart go pitter patter. Put plaid on your table and I bet your guests won’t want to leave. Wait. That could be problematic, but stunning and cozy, for sure.
Love plaid in any room. OH MY GAWD this room is speaking to me.
No shocker here. Plaid and barn wood were meant to be together. Always and forever.
And then of course there are the not so great plaid combos. Ugh.
Lil Wayne is grods mcgoats. But here once again, plaid is proving to work even on the gnarliest of peeps. That’s right! Lil Wayne in plaid! FML.
Off to go cry myself to sleep.
Or maybe not…
Love It. Live It. Share It.
