I have been on the hunt for a frigging natural, nude eyeshadow palette since NAM. I buy them, try them and return them because I can never seem to get one palette that embodies the right shades and tones I am looking for. I prefer to not have nuetrals that give off cool tones. I don’t want gray eyeshadows in my nude palette. I want a palette that favors warm neutrals. And I am looking for matte shadows. No frosted, shimmery bullshit. Is that too much to ask for? Apparently yes because I haven’t been able find one until now.
Becca’s Ombre Nudes Eye Palette has been delivered from the heavens! Raise your hands to Jesus! Becca is a product line I became familiar with in the past few months and have spent a little time getting to know the line and playing with their goods. I like what I have seen and touched but did find their pressed powder products to be a little too soft for my liking. I am a skeptic usually when it comes to unfamiliar products and lines. It is just who I am. It’s like my sister Michelle with any guy I date. Prove yourself worthy and then she will like you. I could tell her a million times he is amazing but until she sees and knows for herself, in her eyes he is an asshole. That is how I am with makeup. I don’t believe until I try it and it best be the best or I do not fall in love. I am hard to please. Regardless, when I saw Becca’s Ombre Nudes Eye Palette I threw it in my basket and headed to checkout. Why? Because the 5 colors inside the palette were exactly what I had been searching for in a nude palette. Mama brought that bad boy home and played with it the moment I could and let. me. tell. you. Mama likey! More like LOVE! Finally! FINALLY! I have found an eyeshadow palette that is NEUTRAL without being GRAY! Not only are the colors exactly what I want, they are also wonderfully blendable and applicable. Oh, and when you use a shadow primer they stay put. What’s an eyeshadow primer? Ugh. Click here and check out all of the necessary makeup basics you need, like, yesterday. You will find my favorite eyeshadow primer there. I will throw this in, though. I was left with a concealer I don’t use much because the color is a little off so instead of tossing it or letting it take up space I decided to dot some on my lids and use my favorite cosmetic tool EVER to apply it and blend it. That tool would be my BeautyBlender and I obsess all about it here so click and learn, TSPeeps. What were my results from this experiment? I discovered an incredible way to utilize concealer in an unconventional way because that, my friends, is an awesome eyeshadow primer. I digress. Back to the nude palette. Every one of the five colors within the palette will be utilized on a regular basis. I love being able to pull off a natural looking eye during the day using colors that actually look natural. And once night falls, I can bust this palette out and do it up all sultry and sexy if I want. I am also really excited about this palette because of the space and time it will save me while traveling. Adios 15 thousand eyeshadows in my travel bag and hello Becca Nude Palette! That alone is worth the 40 bucks it costed me to have this thing in my makeup arsenal. This is the palette every chick can use every freaking day. And I am not saying this for any other reason than the fact that it is true and that is what I do for my sisters. I lead them to what they need and what they will use. If you don’t believe, me buy it and try it for yourself. Oh, and if you want to see just how gorgeous the shadows are on me, because the proof is in the pudding, follow me on Snapchat @bigmamapearl. You will see daily cosmetic/beauty related snaps as well as a bunch of crazy shit that will make you laugh or feel really normal.
One last thing… if you want to feel good you gotta look good. On the inside and outside. Take care of yourselves and put on some frigging makeup, for crying out loud. xo
