When I think New Years Eve, I think sparkles and sequins. NYE is one of the only nights of the year where you don’t need an invitation to get all done up. My attire tends to sparkle that night so I decided to chill out a little on my NYE mani. I wanted to do something chic and simple. I don’t like to over do it. If I had my nails all done up and shit, then I would tone down my attire. I wouldn’t wear a full sequin dress, that’s for sure. I like to think of my nails as accessories. Therefore, with something like this, I feel comfortable rocking some bad ass jewelry along with some other chach in the form of clothing. This is one of my Black tie mani’s and I frigging love it.
For this beaut, I used Essie’s Licorice and Ciate’s Amazing Gracie. I love these two together. If this isn’t your cup of tea because you suck a little, then think about doing one color on your feet and the other on your hands. They really play well together and they are neutral which means they can go with anything.
Many of you have asked me how often I do my nails. I give myself a weekly manicure and do up to one polish change a week. I have oily nail beds causing polish and I to not get along very well. I am also constantly cleaning and washing my hands which does not help my polish stay on longer than a couple of days.
