It is true, I am a smartphone junkie and I have the apps to prove it. I have friends, a dad, and a husband, who all enjoy their fancy little phones, however, when I see them putting the word Amazon in their browser I want to poke my eyes out. Just today, The Knife asked me to help him find the information for an Evite he had lost. We scrolled through his emails until we came across the Evite. I didn’t even bother to explain the part where, if he had the app, he could very easily link Evite directly to his calendar and never have to look again. (Shaking my head…)
My point is that we live in a fast-paced world and technology isn’t going anywhere. I don’t see any point in adding to our already hectic schedules. We need to be shaving off senseless time spent on nonsense and enjoying a nice cup of tea, or doing whatever it is that feeds your soul, instead. I am telling you, apps can help you there. I am a virtual-shopping, reminder-setting, timely broad and, to be honest, my apps have a lot to do with this. All of you lollygaggers out there refusing to reform and get with the program, the time has come. Listen up.
If you have ever gone in on gift and don’t have 40 minutes in your day to first get the cash and then deliver it to the gift-getter then you need an app. Maybe you have Chase. I don’t. Then you need an app. I’ve got you covered. Perhaps, you are trying to get pregnant, or the opposite. Maybe, you would like to be ahead of your menstrual cycle and don’t want to be surprised by the infamous bloody show, look no further, I’ve got an app. Perhaps you own a car, or have legs, and would like to get from point A to point B and even get there on time. Surprise, surprise, there’s an app for that too. Do you eat food? Well, if you are one of those human types that requires food to fuel the body but all you feel is dread and drained every time the notion of grocery shopping pops into your head, then don’t go to the store. There is an app for that. Perhaps you have school age children and you are in the throws of common core curriculum and you want to blow your face off like me. Don’t turn to the liquor cabinet just yet; I have a couple math apps up my sleeve. Have I overwhelmed you? Feeling like this is all too much? Haha! I have just the meditation app for you and your kid too!
Yup, there is an app for nearly everything. And sure, some end up taking space like that old sweater in your closet and need to be purged, however, the world is ever-evolving and I am evolving right with it. At the very least, take a gander at my current and favorite apps of the day. You might just thank me later…
