This list of Cool Ass Shit I Am Loving Right Now has a massive cold weather theme attached to it. Might as well hunker down and maximize our situation because Old Man Winter isn’t going anywhere. Time to embrace our inner hygge enthusiast and get used to it. Our family ski trip to Colorado forced me to be extra prepared as far as cold weather gear was concerned. I was not only warm but looked good too! The balance of the list has items that will enhance soups and your glogg drinking experience, rounded out by some things I saw and used on my travels that are now Primed and on their way to my stoop.
Toddy Cold Brew System ~ I enjoyed a cold brew made by the Toddy Cold Brew System while staying at my bestie’s home in Denver. I often enjoy cold brewed coffee at local cafes around town, however, I was unaware of the benefits to this beverage with a massive kick. Word on the street is cold brews are less acidic. Done and done. I loved the coffee and compared the flavor to that of some pretty reputable and delicious cafes in the city. My Toddy is Primed and I can’t wait!
Vegeta ~ This one is for all the soup lovers out there. We were introduced to this product by or mom’s caregiver. She makes soup pretty regularly. Vegeta is a soup base with some seasoning. If you don’t have time to make your own stock or you want to make soup in a jiffy, Vegeta is a great item to have on hand.
J. Crew Fair Isle Crew Neck ~ Cozy winter sweater alert! This winter I have no shortage of cute and cozy sweaters and neither should you. This J Crew sweater is dual purpose as it can be worn to work or school and also on the slopes. Being warm is one thing, but cute and warm! #winning
Wet-it Dishcloth ~ Wet-it washcloths are a shammy for your counter! I swear the Swedes know what they are doing. This nifty little washcloth is made of most cellulose and cotton. What in the heck does that even mean? It means these things are super absorbent, biodegradable and a replacement for paper towels. Move over quicker picker upper, there is a new counter cleaning Sherrif in town.
Ahava Hand Cream ~ The winter months can be a bit of a buzz kill when it comes to dry skin and chapped hands. Ahava has been used by folks in my family forever and still to this day. It smells absolutely incredible and moisturizes without leaving a greasy film.
Plus Plus Toys ~ I don’t know about you, but I don’t allow my kids to bring iPads or devices to restaurants. To each his own, however, this is one of the things I stick to. Once again, the Scandinavian’s nail it. Plus Plus toys are a tube of mini puzzle pieces, designed for kids ages 1-12. The degree of difficulty ranges from 1D to 3D designs and it comes with patterns to follow too! Toss a tube of these in your purse and have them on standby when the beasts are done coloring on their menus.
Sorel Lexie Wedge Bootie ~ I love nothing more than a purchase that is cute and practical. My Sorrel Lexie Wedges are just that! They are warm and give me a little lift to boot. See what I did there? If I get sick of my hot pink laces, I’ll change em up, but for now, that pop of color makes me happy while my feet stay toasty. They were the only shoe I wore in Steamboat unless my feet were in skis.
Mr. Boddington Pen Pal Kit ~ One of my most popular posts was about writing letters so when I stumbled upon this while reading Goop magazine, I had to share. I know for a fact Grandparents that don’t live near their grandbabies would love this. Grandparents Day Prezzie idea!
North Face Snoga Pant ~ Oh my God, these pants are called Snoga pants and they are my winter sports dream come true! Snoga pants are made by Northface and they are every Ice Queen’s dream. These snow pants are slenderizing and warm! The waist is the best part as there is no bulky belt or snaps, instead made with a wide band that zips on the side.
My Father’s Daughter ~ If you haven’t already figured it out, I am slightly obsessed with the Goop Lifestyle brand. I have her two most recent cookbooks, but never peeked inside her book, “My Father’s Daughter.” I read cookbooks like novels and had a chance to read this one while visiting Colorado. This may be her best, most stripped down version of all three. Great staple recipes and meals the entire family will enjoy.
Hot Drink Glass ~ Christmas may be over but mulled wine and glogg season are in full effect! We have been drinking glogg a lot this winter and I have found the perfect vessel to drink it in. Brought to you by Crate and Barrel. It is the perfect size for any hot drink, especially hot wine loaded with booze, or hooch as my dad might say.
