In an effort to keep the conversation going on the variety of topics we’ve discussed lately on our Instagram Live series “Live @ 5 “, we’ve curated a book list.
We asked our experts to share some of their favorite books that pertain to their area of expertise. Several of the guests we have hosted are authors themselves; one is a New York Times best-selling author.
Yeah, you heard me right. We interviewed a New York Times best-selling author on “Live @ 5” and his book is included on this list as well.
Here is the list of books some of our experts recommended:
UnF*ck Yourself by NYT Best Selling Author Gary John Bishop (Check out our conversation with GJB HERE)
“It isn’t other people that are standing in your way, it isn’t even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive, it’s yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself. In Unfu*k Yourself, Bishop leads you through a series of seven assertions: I am willing.” ~ Amazon
Move Your Stuff Change Your Life Recommended by Feng Shui consultant Linnette Thompson
“Feng shui is a powerful yet simple tool by which to change one’s life. Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life reveals the ancient Chinese secrets that are as useful and necessary today as they have been for centuries.” ~ Amazon
Enlightenment is Sexy by Val Gangas
“Living life from the INSIDE OUT is the only way to roll. There is a whole world inside of you waiting to be tapped into. Once you begin paying attention to your inner world (instead of non-stop focusing on trends, fashions, and TV shows), once you start identifying what’s working for you and what’s not, once you clarify what you really want and understand that you have a choice in whether or not and HOW you manifest it, get ready for radical change to start happening!” ~ Amazon
The Seasoned Plate by Nicole Putzel
“The Seasoned Plate is a collection of delicious and healthy real food recipes by the season. This cookbook is the result of a beautiful recipe: one of food, friendship, and wellness, told by the seasons. For about a year, Nicole would create a seasonal, vegetable-centric recipe once a week, and during the summer months, the produce for the recipes was literally harvested from her backyard– truly, organic-garden-to-plate dining.” ~ Amazon
Mating in Captivity by Esther Perel / Recommended by Family + Sex Therapist Gianna Saviano (Check out our conversation with Gianna HERE)
“What does it take to keep the flame burning—even after years of marriage? Couples and sexuality therapist Esther Perel weighs in with her honest (and refreshingly provocative) insight on the possibility of a better sex life in this exceptionally entertaining examination of love and lust.” ~ Goop
Om For The Mom – Vanessa Palmer (Check out our review HERE)
“If this mom can achieve her OM anyone can. A spiritual & holistic prescription for your soul. A formula for life ~ full of love, happiness gratitude, yoga & inner peace. Vanessa’s inspiring life philosophy will crack the surface to help you find your passion and ignite your spirit!” ~ Amazon
Death & Co. Recommended by @themobilemixologist (Check out our conversation HERE)
“Death & Co is the most important, influential, and oft-imitated bar to emerge from the contemporary craft cocktail movement. Destined to become a definitive reference on craft cocktails, Death & Co features more than 500 of the bar’s most innovative and sought-after cocktails. But more than just a collection of recipes, Death & Co is also a complete cocktail education, with information on the theory and philosophy of drink making, a complete guide to buying and using spirits, and step-by-step instructions for mastering key bartending techniques.” ~ Amazon
It Starts with The Egg by Rebecca Fett / Recommended by Kasia S. McQuire Infertility + Mindset Coach (Check out our conversation HERE)
“The latest scientific research reveals that egg quality has a powerful impact on how long it takes to get pregnant and the risk of miscarriage. Poor egg quality is in fact the single most common cause of age-related infertility, recurrent miscarriage, and failed IVF cycles.”
That’s all she wrote folks. Actually, that is all they wrote. LOL.
