In the midst of a pandemic that has brought an ever-present uncertainty about everything from e-learning to the state of our nation, I’ve decided that there is only one thing to do and that is to make pudding shots.
Pudding shots are the ultimate comfort hybrid food/drink. These boozy little treats are about as summer-hygge as you can get!
I am a big proponent of comfort food because eating (in this case sort of drinking)it makes me feel good.
I am wholly confident that this recipe for pudding shots will provide you with said comfort. I”m not kidding.
Like, if there is ever a food item that truly, literally makes you feel warm and fuzzy and slightly tipsy, this is it.
I was introduced to these delightfully refreshing, liquor-filled bombs on one of my stays at Diamond Island, MI. A friend of a friend named Angela arrived with treats and snacks of all kinds. When she came out with a cooler-bag filled to the brim with pudding shots and offered me one, I happily obliged.
Ah, I can hear her sweet voice now and how she asked, “pudding shot?”
We enjoyed a pudding shot here and there throughout our stay that trip, and I was delighted every single time I spooned one into my mouth. I was not the only one.
These little tiny treats are the perfect amount of sweet coupled with a double-punch of booze that tastes more like candy.
They were a true pleasure to eat, but I am confident no one got greater joy than Angela, watching everyone swoon over her delectable creations.
So, there you have it, I can’t take the prize on this one. These are all Angela. They are simply too good to keep to all to me, absolutely blog-worthy, and the ultimate pandemic treat.
They make you feel good while you enjoy them and they are packaged in a way that everyone (above 21) can enjoy and because they are packaged individually, no one needs to worry about, you know, spreading the virus.
Three cheers for Angela and the only kind of shot I drink: the pudding shot.
