IF YOU ARE READING THIS BLOG, YOU MUST ALSO BE A LOVER OF FALL (AND EQUALLY AS BASIC AS LAUREN AND ME…)

If you are new to our cozy little corner on the internet but happen to be one of those folks who detest people who celebrate fall even before it has arrived, I challenge you to power through this post to the end.

It is my goal to leave you with some things that might inspire you to embrace the onset of autumn because, at this point, is there anything else to embrace at the moment?

Maybe, not really.

I have and will forever revel in my glory during the months of September through November.

YES TO ALL OF THE THINGS THAT ENHANCE THIS LOVE FOR AUTUMN: CHUNKY SWEATERS, PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES, BONFIRES, SHORTER DAYS, FALLING LEAVES, SOUP, FOOTBALL…SHOULD I CONTINUE?

However, more than anything, it is all in the way that I feel when fall arrives that makes this season the one I wait all year for every single year.

In a world where so much uncertainty exists, we all could use something to look forward to.

Fall is just what the doctor ordered and, because I love you, I am offering you an entire list of ways to inspire your love for fall.

ENJOY IT!

Achieving ultimate coziness really is an art. Our friend explains it perfectly.

If you are going to really embrace the season and get your hygge on you are going to need some essentials. Don’t worry. These items won’t break the bank.

Before we get to it, don’t you want to know the science behind why people love fall anyway? There is a reason.

If you are like us and love a good cozy aroma flowing through your house, try Lauren’s stovetop simmer recipe on for size. It’s natural and you might have all of the ingredients on hand.

A proper autumn is full of savory soups that make our bellies warm and our hearts full. Simple soups that taste like they have been cooking for hours are our specialty. Here are some of our favorites: pasta Fagioli, stracciatella, and our healthy and delicious Goop inspired detox soup to name a few.

If there was ever a season to really slow down and savor, fall would be that season. Here are some mindful based tips to ensure your autumn pleasure.

Fall wouldn’t be fall without frothy caffeinated beverages you can make at home but taste like you got them at the local cafe, like our oat milk cinnamon latte.

However, warm drinks don’t have to have caffeine to be good. Next time you are looking for something to warm you from the inside out and provide a little buzz, my Manhattan is the perfect drink for that. It pairs nicely with a fire. Just sayin.

I don’t know about you, but the chillier the weather, the more I want to cozy up with a good book. Scandinavian Noir is the most recent genre to capture my interest.

HAPPY FALL!
MICHELLE

Did you know that Scandinavian folks are some of t Did you know that Scandinavian folks are some of the happiest people in the whole wide freaking world?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s a fact.

And it worked. Or well, works. Implementing these concepts into our daily lives have proven to amp up our happiness, mindfulness, and all around well-being. That’s also a fact.

Hygge is humble and slow. It is choosing rustic over new, simple over posh, and ambience over excitement. In many ways, hygge might be the Danish cousin to slow and simple living.
