When it comes to fall, we are as basic as it gets.

We want plaid, pumpkin, cozy, crunchy leaves, and warm delicious drinks.

Autumn, of course, is more than seasonally inspired material items, but there is something just so nostalgic about falling into fall with some home decor and personal style to help enhance all the feels.

As we nudge our way into the hygge season, we can use this shift in seasons to be more present. Smell the smells. Feel the textures. See the beauty of change within nature..and within ourselves.

To help cultivate the cozy inside of you, here are a few items we think will help along the way.

Of all the fall accessories you should have, it should be this plaid scarf. It’s a must-have piece to fashionably set the autumn vibe.

Fall is the beginning of the hygge season so you might as well start the cozy vibes at your front door with this IKEA welcome mat.

Not all pumpkin candles are created equal, but you can trust that this Capri Blue Pumpkin Clove candle will have your home stinking so damn good and cozy, warm!

Fall wreaths make every home that much cozier especially paired with fall mums and that cute hygge welcome mat. I love that this wreath comes with a storage box as well.

This glass pumpkin totally reminds us of our mom, June. Candy corn or Halloween themed Oreos are the perfect treats to stock up in here.

This Yeti mug is a must! With social distance hang out sessions, you’ll want to put your spiked apple cider in something to keep it nice and warm while hanging at your neighbor’s fire pit. If you’re into warm spiced wine…you’ll love this glögg recipe! But, perhaps you’re more into Manhattans, here ya go!

Here at The Sister Project blog, we worship NYT recipes! Plus, we heard this cookbook has phenomenal baking recipes. ‘Tis the season!

Pumpkin scented poop-spray is something we didn’t know we needed but we do!

F is for FALL. Now, get sipping on this cute seasonal mug!

Plaid wool blankets bring me back to my childhood fall days. This Pendleton plaid will be a perfect addition to any bonfire situation. Makes for a great gift too!

Is it really even fall if you’re not wearing wool socks? These will look super cute pulled over leggings with brown boots.

Tea is synonymous with the hygge season. Tea Gschwendner’s Autumn Spice will have you feeling all fall like from the inside out. PS. This is my favorite tea shop in the city. Their Green Coconut tea is another favorite.

Happy Fall, y’all!

Hygge is humble and slow. It is choosing rustic over new, simple over posh, and ambience over excitement. In many ways, hygge might be the Danish cousin to slow and simple living.
