Here at The Sister Project, our mission is to help you embrace the cold, dark months ahead by embracing your inner hygge.

Or in other words, creating ways to enhance your ambiance with lighting, textiles, delicious things to eat and drink, and smells that will make you long for bonfires and balsam fir.

Our Cozy Gift Guide includes everything one person would need to elevate their hygge at home. And seeing as though we’ll be spending a good amount of time indoors, it’s imperative we all create space in our lives to enjoy the little things that make us feel good.

This list is for the coziest person you know or that special someone that needs a little bump in the hygge department.

(Left to right) 1.Cashmere Beanie 2. Fannie May S’mores 3. Yeti Tumbler 4. The Little Book of Hygge 5. Winter Cocktails 6. Woodfire Candle by Illume 7. The Comfy 8. Barefoot Dreams Blanket 9. Peanuts Holiday Puzzle by Galison 10. Cute & Cozy Slippers 11. Moon Night Light

Let’s dive in…left to right.

A soft, cashmere beanie is the perfect accessory for the winter months ahead. I absolutely love how this one slouches. It’s available in a ton of colors, so plenty of options!

Listen up. If you like s’ mores or even the mere idea of a s’more, oh then this is very much for you! First off, Fannie May milk chocolate is unlike any milk chocolate out there. First off, the marshmallows are super soft and smooshy. Follow it up with the crunch of the graham which is basically bites of chocolate-covered Golden Grahams cereal. OMG. We’re addicted.

You’re definitely going to need a Yeti tumbler to keep all of your hot bevies warm during all the bonfires this fall and winter. This particular one comes in a plethora of colors and hues.

Did you know that the Danes are rated as some of the happiest people in the world? The Little Book of Hygge is for anyone that wants to learn how and why to cultivate a bit of their own hygge and happiness.

You know what’s really hygge? Sipping on hot cocktails! This seasonal recipe book, Winter Cocktails, will have you and all of your warm, boozy needs covered. Perhaps try making some glögg to get into to the spirit of things.

Woodfire by Illume will have your home smelling like there is a campfire simmering in the living room, but won’t make your clothes stink like you’ve been rolling around in one. It’s the perfect candle for that special someone that loves a woodburning fireplaces but does not have one in their home. This will brighten their winter.

Recently, I was introduced to The Comfy. Ever since then, I’ve been wanted a Comfy. Remember The Snuggie? Yeah, The Comfy is nothing like that. It’s much more functional and definitely more fashionable. It’s also thicker than a snuggie making it warm as hell.

In the event you’re on the hunt for the world’s most cozy material objects, look no further, Barefoot Dreams to the rescue. This blanket will have you feel like you’re bundled under soft, fluffy cloud. They also have socks, sweaters, and wraps…all with the same cloud like appeal.

Not only are puzzles extra hygge, but they’re also a wonderful source of cognitive and brain exercise. Hooray! Create some vintage Christmas vibes in your home with a little Charlie Brown’s Christmas puzzle along with some tunes by Vince Guaraldi.

These slippers are trending big time right now. They’re way more fashionable than Ugg slippers, the price is right, and they look cozy as hell.

I don’t know what it is about this moon lamp, but it gets RAVE reviews. It’s the perfect night light for kids and adults alike. Would it be to much to say that, everyone loves them to the moon and back?

Since we’re on the topic of gift buying, here are some holiday spending tips to help you stay on budget and out of debt this coming season.

Happy Holidays!

Hygge is humble and slow. It is choosing rustic over new, simple over posh, and ambience over excitement. In many ways, hygge might be the Danish cousin to slow and simple living.
