It is safe to assume that these days most people are spending more time in their kitchen than they ever have before in their lives.

Thanks, COVID19.

I, for one, feel like all I do is cook, serve, eat, clean, and repeat.

The inner cooking goddess in me knows how much my fellow home chefs would appreciate and love some kitchen upgrades, so I curated a list with the help of my sister in the hopes to offer some inspiration for you while you shop for the cooks in your life.

I feel as though cooking is most enjoyable when you have the right tools. Often times those tools are things we might not splurge on for ourselves but they sure would make great presents.

Here is my list of must-have kitchen gadgets and accessories.

Many of the items on this list are tried and true and TSP approved and the ones that aren’t are on our wish list too.

  1. SALT FAT ACID HEAT 2. SMEG TEA KETTLE 3. OUR PLACE ALWAYS PAN 4. MILK FROTHER 5. S’WELL SHAKER SET 6. DASH WAFFLE MAKER 7. NORWEX ENVIRO CLOTH 8. LE CREUSET DUTCH OVEN 9. INSANTPOT DUO NOVA 10. 8-IN-1 KITCHEN GADGET SET

SALT FAT ACID HEAT

There are cookbooks and then there are books for cooks that are kitchen staples. This book was written by James Beard Award Winner, Samin Nosrat. Her motto is “master these 4 elements, master the kitchen.” This book is for every cook.

SMEG TEA KETTLE

If you are in the market for a gift for someone with an affinity for mid-century style and tea, this retro-inspired kettle is the perfect thing to spread a little holiday cheer.

OUR PLACE ALWAYS PAN

Alas, a pan that is practical, multifunctional, and non-toxic. The Always Pan is ethically sourced and really does the job of eight pans. There isn’t a cook on planet earth that wouldn’t appreciate an upgrade and some space in the cabinets. I have one and after a week with it I finally got the nerve to get rid of my 15-year-old pans that were doing nothing but taking up space in my cabinets. I also love the lightness of it.

The Always Pan would be a fun new addition to anyone’s kitchen.

MILK FROTHER

Lauren and I take our froth seriously and have used many frothers in our day. This frother is hands-down the best one to grace our kitchens. There is never a cleanup in aisle one and the froth is perfection. The coffee lover in your life will swoon after they realize what they just found under the Christmas Tree.

S’WELL SHAKER SET

Here is the deal. According to our weird internet friend and master mixologist, Michael Cecconi, you can make a great drink in a mason jar. Buttttt, since it’s the holiday and everyone’s cocktail game has been upped since the pandemic hit, we think a swanky S’well shaker set is on point.

DASH WAFFLE MAKER

If there hasn’t been an uptick in waffle makers we think there should be. Stay at home orders = cozy comfort food and waffles make everyone a little bit happier.

NORWEX ENVIRO  CLOTH

The people have spoken and the Norwex Enviro towel is what kitchen cleanup dreams are made of. I’m serious. Read the reviews on Amazon. This set of microfiber towels comes with the enviro cloth and the window cloth. I think this review said it best. “These towels are the best thing since sliced bread.” – Happy Amazon Customer

LE CREUSET DUTCH OVEN

This here is our big-ticket item and one that should be donned upon a home chef that has been good all year long.

Le Creuset is an heirloom because it is the best and lasts a lifetime. Besides, there is something so cozy about cooking in Le Creuset.

INSTANT POT DUO NOVA

Oh, what fun can be had with an InstantPot!

This handy dandy kitchen gadget has all the bells and certainly gives the thrills…in the kitchen! It really is the one-stop pot that allows you to do everything from sauteing to slow cooking. Those that have never used one, need not be intimidated. The Instantpot is one push of a button away from making your house smell like cozy comfort food is on the horizon.

***Keep your eyes peeled for a Holiday Giveaway in the coming weeks on Instagram. You might be the lucky winner!***

8-IN-KITCHEN GADGET SET

The 8-in-1 kitchen gadget is like getting eight actual presents in one. These high-demand daily tools come stacked in one piece, adding ease and practicality to everyone’s kitchen.

Happy Shopping!

Michelle

Hygge is humble and slow. It is choosing rustic over new, simple over posh, and ambience over excitement. In many ways, hygge might be the Danish cousin to slow and simple living.
