In this episode, we sat down to share some of our best travel tips, chat about celeb hygiene (because that was in the news), and dabbled in a little conversation about meditation.
Now when it comes to packing, they say you pack all of your fears in your luggage. Will it rain? What if it’s cold out? What if I need this one thing I haven’t used in three months?!
The joy of traveling is tending to things as they unfold.
You’ll have to tune in for the entire conversation, but since we love you – here are several of our best tips when it comes to packing for a trip:
Pack an extra tote or foldable backpack. This will come in handy when you randomly swing by a local farmer’s market or need to bring items to change into later.
Pack a sarong or a Turkish towel. This functional accessory can be used as a bathing suit cover-up, blanket, towel, scarf, wrap, you name it!
Bring a waterproof pouch for your phone. You know, for when you hop in a kayak but want to take a few photos of the beautiful scenery or if you happened to get stuck in the rain on a beautiful hike.
Packing cubes are non-negotiable. They make packing so much more organized, accessible, and easy to locate exactly what you’re looking for.
Roll your clothes. This can help save space and make room for other things you need to bring with you.
Take along some coconut oil. Pack some in an old sample jar and use it as a makeup remover, lotion, and lip balm.
Pack with layering in mind. If the weather is mild, but fluctuates, bring what you can layer on and take off. Way less cumbersome than packing a parka.
Use every nook to pack things away. Put socks in shoes and accessories in clutches.
Pack a small bottle of washing detergent. I bring just the amount of underwear I need and when I run out, I wash and hang dry
Bring your own water bottle and fill it up at the airport and throughout your travels. Please do not buy a plastic water bottle from the airport. Help save the planet.
Bring an external phone battery. Because your battery will run out and if you are not near an outlet, this will give your battery life.
