Hey there sports fan,
I am always happy to serve as your momentary escape from reality while the world around us continues to break all of our hearts.
Rest assured, these writing moments are my escape too.
I have so much to share with you as life is busy and full of so much growth and opportunity!
Let’s get cozy and catch up.
Today marked the last of my weekly sessions with life coach, Aviva Brill of Co-Pilot and I am stunned by the amount progress I have made with her in such a short time.
I went into this experience with an open heart as well as some rawness and vulnerability; I guess I was holding onto some things until the right moment presented itself…
Aviva was that moment.
This experience gave me the mindset and tools to finally divorce the beliefs my parents instilled in me about money.
I learned, and now finally really believe, that I bring value to my business every single day and that I can redefine who I am at any moment and manage how I respond in any situation.
And while some of this stuff is not totally new to me, I have the memory of a goldfish so the reminder (and the reinforcement and validation) is so helpful.
She is the flip-the-script, seed-planting queen who has shown me how to keep watering the little sprouts within me.
As Stuart Smalley said, “I am good enough, I am smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.”
Things I am taking in.
I have been a bit of a sponge these days; I’ve been reading, watching, and listening a ton.
I am still sneaking midday chapters of Bill Bryson’s book, “The Body: A Guide For Occupants“.
It had been collecting dust for a bit, and then, when my friend got sick, I decided now would be a good time to learn more about the body.
It’s fascinating how much there is to learn about these vessels where our spirit lives.
From a visual perspective, my eyes have been glued to two things; Love is Blind and 1883.
One is absolute garbage and the other is an actual masterpiece. Is love blind? Well, that depends.
Check out our podcast to hear Lauren and me breakdown the reality love experiment.
If you haven’t watched 1883, we can’t be friends. I have never been more captivated by a series since, Game of Thrones or Outlander.
The acting is superb and every word that came out of Sam Elliot’s mouth had me balling into the palms of my hands.
I listened to an Ologies podcast called “Attention-Defecit Neuropyschology“. The host, Ali Ward, interviewed one of the ADHD world’s leading experts, Dr. Russell Barkley.
He has read incredible amounts of research on the subject and is so knowledgeable.
I am currently listening to his book, “12 Principals For Raising A Child With ADHD“.
This topic is something I’m personally interested in and, if you or someone you know is affected by the great challenge and magic of the race car brain, I recommend you give it a listen because its both informative and a really enjoyable conversation to hear.
I just saw a squirrel. Gotta go.
Stay cozy,
Michelle
