IT FEELS LIKE SPRING FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE SPRING HAS SPRUNG! ALL I WANT TO DO IS LOUNGE ON MY PATIO IN AN ADIRONDACK CHAIR WITH MARTHA BECK’S BOOK, “INTEGRITY”.
One of the delightful perks of living in the suburbs is having a backyard; all that green space and the opportunity to extend our home beyond the walls we live within during the colder months.
I so enjoy a good hangout on the patio and I can’t wait to be on ours. Although, I noticed recently that we have a bit of work to do out there.
For starters, our furniture could use an update and then there is the trampoline that the kids enjoyed through the pandemic, but have now outgrown. The perfect circle of destroyed lawn that the trampoline has left behind almost looks like a meteor crashed smack-dab in the center of our yard… Oh, the things we do for our kids…
We have some grass seeding, weeding and a set of new outdoor furniture in our near future and I know just where to go to get started.
THANKFULLY, WE LIVE JUST DOWN THE ROAD FROM HORTONS HOME LIGHTING, WHICH MEANS THEY CAN TAKE CARE OF ALL OF MY NEEDS.
Lauren and I spent one lovely Tuesday morning at Hortons and, together, we curated a fully equipped, lounge ready space for the most cozy patio. We have been so excited to share more about it and how you can duplicate the look for yourself. Check out some of our favorite items below and don’t forget to use the code that Horton’s gave us to share with you!
Whether you are local and want to shop in-store at Hortons Home Lighting, or if you prefer to shop online use the coupon code SISTERS at the checkout for $50 off $250 or more (before taxes).
This code cannot be used to shop at Ace Hardware online, it can only be used in-stores at Hortons Home Lighting, and Ace Hardware in La Grange, Illinois.
Lighting is one of the most important elements to cozying up any outdoor space. The twinkle sets the mood and make for magical summer nights.
An outdoor living space would not be complete without a bird feeder…or, in my opinion, four. Bring nature to your backyard with this squirrel-deterring bird feeder.
The fact of the matter is, we live in Chicago and even the summer nights aren’t always as warm as we might like them. This is a patio addition you won’t regret when you want to prolong your evening outside and the temp is just a touch too cold.
The Milano Dining Set is the cat’s pajamas because it doubles as a fireside chat. Have you ever heard of anything more cozy and practical? The table is bar height with super cozy chairs and when you are done eating, you can flame on and continue the cozy conversation!
A pop of color via the Yeti Pink Cooler is the most stylish way to keep your drinks cold while you enjoy cozy talks by the fire. Take this puppy on the road and never lose sight of it, thanks to its vibrant aesthetic.
A cozy patio wouldn’t be complete without some plants and cool planters. This planter is made of resin but looks like wood–it looks good as an accent just about anywhere.
The Solo Stove was a pandemic addition to my own yard and I will never look back. In fact, I would only go bigger. The Yukon is the largest Solo Stove and can really kick out some heat! It looks cool too.
Good Lord, what kind of patio hang would it be without Yeti coasters aplenty. This little ditty snuggly fits any White Claw or High Noon and, you better believe, they stay ice cold.
Citronella Candle – Shop In Store
Candles are requirement, especially when the end game is cozy. However, Citronella is a necessity when you live near or around Lagrange, because the the squieters are horrendous. Nab some cute ones to accessories and keeps the bugs away. Two birds. One stone.
I hope you enjoy the outdoor season. Be sure to stop by Hortons if you should need anything to enhance your space!
