TIS’ THE SEASON!
For wedding bells!
This past March, I stood up at my sister-in-law’s wedding back in Cabo, Mexico, and let me tell you…it was a blast.
It felt so damn good to get back on the dance floor, wear a bridesmaid dress, get my hair done, and enjoy some good old-fashioned wedding festivities!
One of my favorite parts is celebrating the bride and getting her a few gifts to jazz up the occasion. In fact, I bought my SIL the very purse she used on her wedding day from Vintage Charm. Here is a super cute one for a bride-to-be.
When it comes to gifting the bride, there are so many options.
A few of my favorites are a ring dish, a super cute clutch, or something a bit more cheeky with BRIDE written on it.
To help you find the perfect gift for a bride in your life, below I threw together a little bride guide from Vintage Charm.
1. June Pearl Studded Headband 2. Married and Bright Beaded Clutch 3. Swig Champagne Flute 4. You’re Engaged Candle 5. Bride Corded Sweatshirt 6. Bride-To-Be Earrings 7. Bling Brush Jewelry Cleaner 8. Bianca Pearl Earrings 9. Retro Bride Sunnies 10. Bride Ring Dish 11. The Bride Mug
Don’t forget, when shopping at Vintage Charm, both online and in-store, use our code TSP10 for 10% off of your purchase.
To help you really get into the mood, SAVE THE DATE for Vintage Charm’s Bridal Event this Sunday, June 12th, 11-3pm.
This is the event to attend if you are planning a wedding or going to a wedding this season. Hop in the photo booth, have some bubbly, enjoy some treats from local bakeries, get your wedding gifts, and receive a free gift with a purchase over $75.
Now when it comes to weddings, there is some etiquette to consider. Here are a few of my favorite tips for being a lovely guest:
Always always always RSVP by the requested RSVP date. There are so many details to finalize and knowing if you can make it plays a big role.
Don’t wear white unless you’re the bride. That’s just tacky.
Don’t assume you are invited with a plus one unless the invitation says so.
According to etiquette experts, your gift to the couple should be based on your budget and relationship with the couple. No need to break the bank.
Be sure to check out the wedding website and see if there are any details you should know about. Don’t want to piss off the bride.
Sneaking a photo during the ceremony gets a pass, but recording the entire thing is just not necessary. People want to see the bride and groom, not your phone in the air.
Brides-to-be, this here is an excellent article from Brides.com to help navigate wedding etiquette on your part. Honestly, I wish I read this before my wedding. There are some really lovely tips here when it comes to budgeting, invites, thank-yous, and more!
Wishing all the brides-to-be, florists, vendors, caterers, bands, DJs, boutiques, and loved ones a wonderful wedding season!
