Happy Fall, yall!
To help enhance your chilly days and moody skies, I threw together a list of essentials for the autumn season.
What I love most about fall is the simplicity of it.
You don’t need a lot to create the cozy ambiance we so love about autumn here at The Sister Project.
Autumn is all about the five senses.
The texture of a cozy sweatshirt.
The taste of a delicious homemade scone.
The smell of soup on the stove.
The sight of a fire pit crackling while you sip your seasonal ale.
And the sound of the wooden crackle of our Fall AF candle.
The list below will surely add to your fall season!
Solo Stove Bonfire
There is nothing cozier than a fall evening around a fire pit.
Michelle and I both have a Solo Stove bonfire and spend most of our autumn sitting around it, enjoying the season. This firepit is sleek and burns beautifully.
Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pumpkin Pancake Mix
I highly recommend you pick up a box or two of this delicious pancake mix the next time you’re in Trader Joe’s.
The flavor isn’t overwhelming and pairs perfectly with a side of bacon and eggs.
Pro tip: add some chocolate chips!
Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney
Fans of Agatha Christy, this book is for you! This book is considered a more modern-day spin on And Then There Were None.
A dysfunctional family reunites for the matriarch’s 80th birthday when one by one family members show up dead.
It’s a page-turner mystery and has me wondering…who’s doing the killing? And why.
Pumpking Pumpkin Beer
Pumpking is, hands-down, my favorite autumn beer on the market. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Oktoberfest, but this is the ale I look forward to every year.
Contrary to the pumpkin pancake mix above, this flavor profile is a bit more…intense, but in a great, delicious way!
Head here to find where you can get your hands on some Pumpking Ale.
Lodge Dutch Oven
Alright, listen up! It’s soup season so if you don’t have a dutch oven yet, now is the time to invest. I use my dutch oven for soups, veggie broths, boiling water for pasta…anything and everything.
Lodge cast iron is of excellent quality and this hue is so festive. As we like to say around here, it’s Fall AF.
Target Clogs
I wore these to Michelle’s house one day and by that same evening, Michelle had a pair too.
The low heel makes these clogs quite comfortable and I adore the hardware of studs that wrap around the shoe.
They also come in brown.
Fall AF Candle
Ok, you basic b*tches…it’s candle time.
Please know that Michelle and I had you and all the other fall-obsessed humans in mind when we created this exceptionally autumnal scent. We worked so hard on this and sniffed so many concoctions when we finally decided on this scent.
Apple harvest, pumpkin, and just a pinch of cinnamon. It’s the best-smelling fall candle out there.
Trust us on this, we know what we’re talking about when it comes to fall candles.
Sanderson Sisters Sweatshirt
I love a sweatshirt like this that is clearly a nod to Hocus Pocus, but it’s not so obvious that it’s lame.
It looks cozy and has great reviews.
Midwest Made Cookbook
It’s bakin’ season people! Here is a local gal’s baking cookbook that must be in your kitchen this autumn. There are hundreds of savory and sweet recipes that are sure to create the coziest of vibes in your home.
There is nothing better than walking into a home that smells of freshly baked anything.
Sweater Weather Mug
A sweater weather mug is a perfect addition to your quiet mornings with coffee and a book this fall season.
Wishing you a cozy fall season with copious cups of hot coffee, a good thriller at your bedside, and long walks under canopies of changing trees.
