It has been said I have a knack for inspiring folks to fall in love with fall.
That perspective thrills me as I have been looking forward to this season every year for as long as I can remember.
The onset of school and excitement over my next new notebook and pencil case has evolved into this all-encompassing obsession with a season that teleports me to a place of euphoria.
I literally live for fall.
To me, fall is the epitome of hygge as every aspect of the season enhances the cozy experience.
This is the season that titillates all of the senses.
If you are a fall resister, stick with me.
I want to inspire you to fall in love with fall.
You can look through my burnt orange colored lenses if you like.
There is something about that ominous autumn sky with all of deep greys and blues that has me running inside to light my Fall AF candle and snuggle up with a good book.
I have yet to come in contact with a mum color I didn’t like.
Mother Nature sure puts on a show come fall.
I feel as if I have no choice but to be grateful.
How lucky am I to see such beauty?
And then there are the smells and I am not only speaking of pumpkin spice and cinnamon.
Although those notes make my heart skip a beat.
It’s all of the slow cooking that really gets me and since food is my love language, I feel downright sexy come fall.
There is such comfort in a pot of soup or stew made up of all those rooty vegetables we have been waiting for all summer long.
The aromas of fall foods are one of the many things that make a house a home.
Honey, fall is here so I am going home!
September arrives and I can feel the pull to go inward as I begin to nest and prepare for shorter days and cooler temps.
My sweet little home becomes this sanctuary I create and fill with all of the smells and colors of the season.
As the temperature cools, the windows get wider and each sleep is more restful the deeper I find myself under my comforter.
I take solace in the gentle slowness that comes along with the season and feel connected to nature as I ebb and flow with the change of the seasons.
The changing seasons are inevitable and my hope for you is peace and pure contentment this fall.
Savor the season as fall is the portal to total utter cozy + mindful + wellbeing.
Stay cozy,
Michelle
