Meet Lauren

HEY, YOU GUYS!
I’m Lauren Massarella and I am a hygge lifestyle blogger from Chicago, where I live with my husband, Anthony, and our cat, Egon. My obsessions include, but are not limited to, sunsets, cortados, candles (lots of candles), mezcal, my tiny family, and being a hostess with the “mostess”. Everyday, I’m on a mission to live my best life with this one chance that I have been given. How? You may ask--let’s discuss.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been enamored by the Midwest’s four seasons, party planning, and embracing cozy moments of all sorts. I love the bright colors that the spring and summer bring us just as much as I worship the warmer hues of fall and the darker days of winter. Hosting friends at my home makes my heart happy. I think I got that from our mom – our house was always filled with people...and food.

I always try to find gratitude in the present moment. Whether the day gives me sunshine or rain showers, I try to go with the flow and enjoy whatever I get.

Can’t be too picky these days. Perhaps this mindset is what led me naturally to teach yoga and become a hygge lifestyle blogger, it’s the perfect recipe for me.

If I am not teaching a sweaty, hot yoga class, you can find me exploring the world thru food and drink. I wear clothes that compliment my relaxed lifestyle and love tending to my urban garden. As I mentioned, I am on a mission to live my best life...and you’re invited! Come along for the adventure and enjoy a life of coziness and a bit of simplicity with me.

Happy Hygge-ing,

xoxo, lauren

Hygge is humble and slow. It is choosing rustic over new, simple over posh, and ambience over excitement. In many ways, hygge might be the Danish cousin to slow and simple living.
